Anchor is a street ministry under Love Incarnate. The anchor street ministry aims to assist homeless people in and around Pietermaritzburg. We show them love by providing them with food once every week and by giving out clothes and other basic necessities; we also conduct a review of each individual to determine how we can get them off the street.
Our Vision
Our vision as Anchor is to have no person living on the streets of Pietermaritzburg and to make sure that everyone who has resorted to this way of living is reconciled with their families and restored to society. We will provide skills and programmes that will help everyone to be responsible individuals who will contribute positively to the economy of our country.
We want to provide the necessary counselling that they might require because of what they have been exposed to during their time on the street.
We also want to provide rehabilitation programmes for the individuals that have been exposed to drug and alcohol abuse and also monitor their progress.
